About MovieMood

MovieMood helps you find a movie that fits how you feel right now. Pick a mood (or two), describe it in your own words, or browse our hand-picked lists, and swipe through popular, well-rated films with trailers and where to watch them.

Each mood is matched to the genres and themes that suit it, using The Movie Database. We favour films that are both popular and well rated. When you save and rate movies, MovieMood learns your taste and gently moves the films you're likely to love to the front.

Yes. Browsing, trailers, your watchlist, group rooms and movie lists don't cost anything.

You can look at a few movies without one. With an account, you can keep discovering, your watchlist syncs across your devices, your picks learn your taste, and you can host group rooms. Signing up takes a few seconds with Google or email.

No. MovieMood doesn't stream films. It shows you where each movie is available to stream, rent or buy in your country, and links you there.

Streaming catalogues are different in every country. MovieMood detects your country automatically and shows your local services. You can change it in your account settings or with the flag next to “Where to watch”.

Start a room, pick tonight's mood and share the link. Everyone swipes on their own phone, and the moment you all say yes to the same movie, it's a match. Friends join with just a nickname; only the host needs an account.

Titles, posters, summaries, cast and trailers come from The Movie Database (TMDB), and streaming availability from JustWatch. MovieMood uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

As little as possible. We don't sell data or use advertising trackers, and our visitor statistics are anonymous and cookie-free. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from your account settings.
