Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use MovieMood (“we”, “us”), run by Avedis. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What MovieMood is

MovieMood recommends movies based on moods, filters, your own description and your ratings. We don't host or stream films. Trailers, posters, movie details and streaming availability come from third parties (YouTube, The Movie Database and JustWatch) and may be incomplete, out of date or differ by country.

AI recommendations

“Describe your mood” uses an AI model. Its picks and explanations can be wrong or unsuitable, so use your own judgement — especially for age ratings and content warnings. Please don't type personal or sensitive information into it.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to create an account.
  • Keep your login details secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time on the account page.

Fair use

Please don't:

  • scrape, copy or resell the service or its data, or access it with bots;
  • try to overload, break or get around limits on the service (including the AI search limits);
  • use it for anything unlawful or to harm others.

We may limit or suspend access for anyone who does.

Mature content

Some moods include films with mature or sexual themes and are only shown after you confirm you are 18 or older. Please answer honestly.

Third-party content and links

Movie data and images are provided by TMDB; this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability is provided by JustWatch. Links to streaming services and other websites are governed by those sites' own terms. Some of these links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Paid features

MovieMood is currently free. If we offer paid features in the future, their prices and any extra terms will be shown clearly before you buy.

Our content

The MovieMood name, design and code belong to us. Movie titles, posters and trailers belong to their respective owners.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep MovieMood useful and available, but it's provided “as is” without guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on recommendations. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced to account holders. We may change or stop the service, and you can stop using it at any time.
